For Women Who Are
Figuring It Out
Hot Girl in Debt is a lifestyle and personal finance publication for women who are managing debt, building something, and refusing to put their life on hold while they do it.
The name is the point. Hot Girl in Debt exists because there is a version of personal finance content that treats debt like a character flaw — something to be fixed before you’re allowed to enjoy your life, your beauty routine, your apartment, your friends. We don’t believe that. We think you can be working on your debt and still be fully, presently alive right now.
This site is for women in their 20s and 30s who are financially aware without being financially obsessed. Who want honest product recommendations alongside honest money talk. Who are tired of being talked down to by content that treats every financial decision like a moral failing. Who know that being broke and being stylish are not mutually exclusive.
What We Cover
Hot Girl in Debt is a lifestyle publication first. We cover money because money is woven through everything — but we’re not a personal finance blog. We’re a magazine for women who want to read about skincare, AI tools, dating, food, and pop culture without pretending those things exist in a vacuum separate from their bank account.
- Money Debt payoff, budgeting, financial stability — honest and shame-free.
- Beauty What actually works, what it costs, and the dermatologist-grade options nobody tells you to ask for.
- Tech & AI The tools worth paying for and the ones quietly draining your account.
- Life Dating, exhaustion, the current state of being a woman right now.
- Food Whether the viral recipes are actually worth making. (Honest verdict every time.)
- Pop Culture What Bravo accidentally taught us about money. The financial arc of everything.
About This Publication
Hot Girl in Debt is an independent publication built by a small team of writers who were tired of reading personal finance content that talked down to women — and lifestyle content that pretended money didn’t exist. We built the site we wanted to read.
The site is growing. New content goes up regularly across money, beauty, tech, life, food, and pop culture. The newsletter is the best way to stay current — it’s the email your older sister would have sent you at 25, delivered weekly.
Editorial Standards
When this site recommends a product, it’s because we’ve thought carefully about whether it earns the recommendation. Affiliate links are disclosed clearly at the top of every article that contains them. We do not recommend products solely because they pay a commission — the recommendation comes first, the affiliate relationship second.
We cite sources. We link to the original creators, writers, and publications we reference. We take accuracy seriously. If something is an opinion, we say so. If something is fact, we source it.
